Brentwood Photography Group Outings

Overview: Each month the Brentwood Photography Group hosts a themed outing for members to join and take some great shots of places you might not ordinarily get to see.  Past outings have taken us to old churches, abandoned factories, car shows, and small towns around Tennessee and surrounding states.

For any outing you wish to join, please download, print and return this Hold Harmless Agreement to Jerry Park.

Upcoming Outings

- February 25, Mt. Olivet Cemetery

Nothing like wandering around spooky graves in the dead of winter.  The tree branches are bare, low and foreboding….  The now deserted chapel stands forlorn atop the hill, daring anyone to snoop around….  In-ground crypts, with their heavy, sculpted doors are menacing and cold….  Gravestones beg silently to be read, to make some connection between you and their owners….

Excited yet?  Well, you should be!  Perfect situation for practicing those black & white skills.  Making the ominous come alive.  That's what we'll be doing on Saturday, February 25, at the old Olivet Cemetery, 1101 Lebanon Pike.  We'll meet in the main parking lot, just off Lebanon, at 9:15, and shoot until around 11:15, when it will be about time to get in your car, warm up, and head over to Longhorn Steakhouse on Murfreesboro Road (1175).  It's near the intersection of Murfreesboro and Briley Parkway.  We're expected there at 11:30.

We shot at Olivet three February's ago and the results were amazing.  Very dramatic stuff.  So, don't miss it!  If you were brave enough to weather the sharp winds and chilly temps of our Block Party last month, this will be a piece of cake.  If you get cold, you can always look for an open crypt….

If you plan on going, just let me know.
